New moon

 The television was alive. Hema was sitting on the couch watching some melodrama. Suddenly, she turned to her dad beside her. 

 "Hey dad, I wanna ask you something!"

 "What is it?" asked her dad.

 "Why are the people getting divorce more and more in the recent years?" she questioned.

 "Hmm.... Why is this doubt for you my child?" asked her dad with a laugh.

 "Just wanted to ask. I am hearing this often from my friends." she paused and, "And you are a lawyer, so just wanted to hear the expert's opinion" continued with a smile.

 "Oh.. ok, then. Do you remember those days when we used to walk around the streets in the evening?"

 "Yes, Dad. You were tall and slim then, anyway." she ended with a laugh.

 "Yeah.. " her dad answered laughing, "When I was tall and slim then, you watched that moon over my head right?"

 "I have, but what is the relationship between that moon and divorce?" asked Hema with a puzzled look.

 "There is a relationship. Does the moon appears daily?" 

 "Yes"

 "Is it so?"

 "Except those new moon days, it is visible everyday"

 "Does it stays as full moon all those other days?"

 "No, it grows and fades away continuously"

 "That's all is life. Happiness doesn't stays with you always, it glows and it fades. But, there is only one moon. So is the bond that people share with each other, unless you are a Jupiter or Saturn." he laughed and continued, "Whereas, sleep is like the inner peace of mind. Never forget to sleep, otherwise even the full moon won't seem beautiful to your eyes. The ones who can understand this will have a long lasting relationship."
