What we call life?

When I thought of writing about this topic, the idea of even thinking about it seemed quite different to me. It seemed so different in the same sense indifferent too. Because, talking about life is definitely not one of the brand new topics. Everyone in this world interprets life in various ways, according to the time and place. Yet, this is a sort of different view to the age-old topic.

To know about anything we should go in depth to the micro level. So, speaking of the interpretations of life by different sects of human beings in this world we have to probe into a common and important aspect of all those interpretations. Deep down all these interpretations are based on one common thing. An endless thirst for perfection, a perfection which is built upon imaginary thoughts. When these thoughts were positive it resulted in a positive outcome, when negative in a disaster.

One of the most popular and ancient interpretation of life is the belief on afterlife or eternal life. People, since the ancient times viewed the world as a judging ground for a grand game and expected a bonus play after the game was over. And this interpretation is itself a result of a sort of insecure and unsatisfied feeling. They have watered these thoughts in various forms such as religions, cults, myths, etc., The feeling that one is being judged can lead the person to feel guilty, and prison that person with guilt till the end. The thought that one should be poor and ill-treated throughout a real life without reacting against it and wait for a distant, eternal but, unsure life is an extremely blunt one. These type of interpretations are based on discontent towards life. This discontent have been kept alive throughout all the way from ancient times till now by different kinds of oppression.

We have to dig deep to find what kind of oppressions have captivated us. In the ancient times, human beings, were tree-dwellers and feared of the animals that were threatening their lives. And, they overcame this fear with the discovery of fire. Friedrich Engels have written about the discovery of fire in his work,"Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State" based on the study by Morgan, as the middle stage of Savagery. This may have sparked the first thought in the human mind for devotion. The same fire, which saved him from the animals once, became a threat, when it widespread around the forest. Thus, the fear plunge into devotion. This was probably the start, which unfortunately, never had an ending. Gradually, the human history rolled in tandem with these changing range of fears and devotions.

Incourse of time, the polygamy, polyandry which existed once were forgotten. Engels from his work of same name as mentioned above explains, "The study of primitive history, however, reveals conditions where the men live in polygamy and their wives in polyandry at the same time, and their common children are therefore considered common to them all – and these conditions in their turn undergo a long series of changes before they finally end in monogamy." and he further says, 'Reconstructing thus the past history of the family, Morgan, in agreement with most of his
colleagues, arrives at a primitive stage when unrestricted sexual freedom prevailed within the tribe, every woman belonging equally to every man and every man to every woman. Since the eighteenth century there had been talk of such a primitive state, but only in general phrases. Bachofen – and this is one of his great merits – was the first to take the existence of such a state seriously and to search for its traces in historical and religious survivals. Today we know that the traces he found do not lead back to a social stage of promiscuous sexual intercourse, but to a much later form – namely, group marriage. The primitive social stage of promiscuity, if it ever existed, belongs to such a remote epoch that we can hardly expect to prove its existence directly by discovering its social fossils among backward savages. Bachofen's merit consists in having brought this question to the forefront for examination. Lately it has become fashionable to deny the existence of this initial stage in human sexual life. Humanity must be spared this “shame.”At a certain point of time in human history, a more organised, secured culture of living begun. "The Civilisation". The objects of fear and devotion changed too. Humans' needs became different, they sought compassion, dignity, love and other sought of things from the world. And they consecrated the persons who had such qualities and injected their long held traditions, to form a religion and rules.

Doubts may arise as if where did the oppression came in. These oppressions are not external, indeed they are intimate. What they basically suppress is the curiosity in human mind. They suppress the nascent questions asked, the problems which should be risen long before amid the masses. They make us believe without evidence. As Bertrand Russell wonderfully puts it in a paradox ,"Many orthodox people speak as though it were the business of sceptics to disprove received dogmas rather than of dogmatists to prove them. This is, of course, a mistake. If I were to suggest that between the Earth and Mars there is a china teapot revolving about the sun in an elliptical orbit, nobody would be able to disprove my assertion provided if I were careful to add that the teapot is too small to be revealed even by our most powerful telescopes. But if I were to go on to say that, since my assertion cannot be disproved, it is intolerable presumption on the part of human reason to doubt it, I should rightly be thought to be talking nonsense. If, however, the existence of such a teapot were affirmed in ancient books, taught as the sacred truth every Sunday, and instilled into the minds of children at school, hesitation to believe in its existence would become a mark of eccentricity and entitle the doubter to the attentions of the psychiatrist in an enlightened age or of the Inquisitor in an earlier time" People often ask to disprove the existence of a supreme being and I would like to adapt his words for this question too,"Some people speak as if we were not justified in rejecting a theological doctrine unless we can prove it false. But the burden of proof does not lie upon the rejecter.... If you were told that in a certain planet revolving around Sirius there is a race of donkeys who speak the English language and spend their time in discussing eugenics, you could not disprove the statement, but would it, on that account, have any claim to be believed? Some minds would be prepared to accept it, if it were reiterated often enough, through the potent force of suggestion"

Credit the person who is in front of you, appreciate the person next to you, love the people around you. I personally don't have time to do all these and I won't allocate my time to a non existing one. Life is for living, live it to the fullest!

Dark and bark

In a forest, there was Tom
His lovely pastime was to roam
Around in the woods, at the dark
The dark didn't let it's dogs bark
To him, the dark was nice
In the woods amid the twilight
A candle light is what Tom saw
Following the light, went into the dark
The Dark was fascinating so as the bark
A different bark possesing a lark
The bark flickered to light.
Tom flapped, jerked by the bark
Bark transformed into a beautiful girl
With a candle light, meticulously alluring
Realizing her coat was the bark,
Tom cursed his taunting eyes
'Oh my!' murmured his mouth

My thoughts

                                                       My thoughts

The prism of life refracts multitude of colours. Living it is all about perception.

Follow your own truth. Stand by them.

Do whatever you like
Success is just an option

To err is human, ego is one of them

I am a racist, I belong to human race
I am an atheist and my religion is humanity

Betrayal is like a dream, a bad dream
You woke up when you got hurt

Laughter is a drifter, a prankster
Who pranks your heart
And shifts your mind
From your daily worries

Untie the correct knot to eliminate the 'not' from cannot.

Do it, like you would die if you don't.

"Discover", discover yourself before even thinking about it

A freedom fighter is a terrorist, until freedom is achieved.

Think twice, frustations may rise
Stand nice, your mind is your vice

Disappointment is surf
Confidence is your board

Level yourself high
Don't lose yourself when high

Travel like blood in your veins
Trifle like roofs under rain

Render yout hearts to the needy
Plunder their blessings till they say you are greedy

One mistake can change everything
One word can ruin relationships
One action can create revolution

If a person loves you for a reason, don't love them back.. They may leave you if the reason becomes invalid.

People never fail in loving. They fail in the way of expressing it.

An artist must be the first person to clean a dirt and to admire a beauty.

Everyone sees the stage, but often forgets to see the work under.

Today's act is tommorow's fate

You

Pen

Will you become meaningless? oh my life!

                                                       அர்த்தமற்றே போவாயோ ?

எனதருமை  வாழ்க்கையே

அர்த்தமற்றே போவாயோ ?

ஈதலே இன்பமோ ?

ஆதலின் சாதலே,

இன்பமாய் எண்ணியே ,

உயிரை ஈவேனே ...

ஐய்யம் கலைந்தே ...

ஊருக்கும் உலகுக்குமே !!

Art is politics

Words

We all would have faced this problem, each everyone in different situations at different age. The problem of getting hurt by words. The moment which we get blamed or teased for a thing which we are not responsible for, for a thing which we can't control, for a thing which we think we shouldn't be blamed. The disgusting feeling when we get judged by the ones who doesn't have any idea of what we are undergoing. All these things leds to hate, indefinite hate. Here are some commonly spoken words without knowing their meaning and their depth.

Bitch :
One of the most used word in the modern era. People will argue that it means a female dog, but it carries a vulgar wit that is almost intolerable by any human being. Sensitive people struggle hard to resist this word. It is not culture to use it on any man or woman, whoever it might be, Most worst thing about abusing is that they pretend that someone is something, without having even glimpse of their character. First and foremost quality of any civilized human is not to judge anyone. The chart shows the number of increase in the "Bitch" around the world.

Nerd :
Not mostly used but widely used on people who prefer to stay alone. To speak or to not, to mingle or to not, to enjoy or to not, it is their own decision. It's none of other's business to name them. Many of the nerds in the world are the ones responsible for the improvement in various fields.
Before naming others nerds, ask to ourself what good we did in our life. The following chart gives usage of the word 'Nerd' in the years.

Bastard :
Lucky are the ones who didn't hear this word from anybody. It's a pure word of abusal. If you are used to this word, next time, stop for a second and think. We don't have to use this word. We really don't have to. Most of the people who are used to abuse people struggle with their relationships. In every relationships, for every single moment, every time when they get angry, every time when they get hurt. Words are like waves, they will hit the shore every time the wind blows.

We saw some of the words which hurt humans. There are more words that must not be spoken, never.

Don't ask your lifepartner, if he/she would leave you. Even if you are having trouble with him/her. Even if you fear if they will leave you. Never. Don't ever ask this once they rely upon you, once they love you, once they trust you, never ask. Think in a positive way, even if they may leave you in future, let them leave. Don't spill the words, words will stay deeper like a bed of the ocean. After spilling the words, however we try hard, they will stay still and will never shook off.

Don't ignore someone saying that you are busy, while being free as hell. Think for a second, how will you feel if they did the same to you. Don't say that you are busy to the ones who need you. Time is precious, but ignoring someone is a waste of time. Never forget that proverb, as you sow so you reap. You ignore someone and someone will ignore you.

Don't say goodbye as such. A goodbye at a wrong time can ruin relationships. A goodbye to the wrong person will make you regret for lifetime. A goodbye to special ones can hurt a lot.

Respect them rightly with all that we could

Lend them everything with all that we could

Heal them quickly with all that we could

Make them happy with all that we could

Protect them precisely with all that we could

Help them heartily with all that we could

Take them high with all that we could

Hold them tightly with all that we could

Love them truly with all that we could

Do it all with all that we could

Do it all till they reciprocate it all

Truth

                                                                Truth

Truth is a snake, it bites hard

But, gives you peace as certain as death

Truth kills the moods not the bonds

Truth is like a stab in the front

Lie is like venom in the bread

Truth carries you through the dark

Cherishes you in the light

Keeps you in flight, even at plight

Missing you

                                                         Missing you !

Mind knows you have work

While heart works all the way to you

Mind stops when I try to express my pain

While heart struggles with the pain of controlling my tears

Mind knows you have stopped thinking of us

While heart hovers only with the feeling of us

Mind knows you won't be seeing this

While heart longs that you should see

Mind knows you have got hurt

While heart cries "Me too" in a fragile tone

Mind knows you are far

While heart gets furious that you are near

Mind says this is waste of time

While heart tells let's waste it for her

      Loneliness O Loneliness
Why you have this much of thirst with you?

     Maarbin Mele Unnai Saaithu
     Kathaigal Sona Tharunangal
     Vaarthai Ellam Oyivu Kolla
     Mounam Pesum Pozhuthugal

     The moments of telling stories
By making you lean on my chest
     Silence speaking times while
     All words were taking rest

     Vinmeen Velichathil Unnodu
     Ellai Meeriya Kaalam
     Ennum Pothe Yen Indha

     Yengo Neeyo Ange Naanum
     Vendum Enre Thondrudhe

     Times of crossing the limits
     With you under the twilight
While thinking of it why does
     This heart makes the rhythm

Come come my life Come breath of life

     Siragin Suvadu Kaatril Yedhu

     Yendhan Devadhai Konjum
     Mozhi Yengae Ena Manam Yengum
     Yenge Mudivena Kaataamal
     Endan Saalaigal Poguthae

Is there trace of the wings on air?
To know the direction of the flying bird.
In search of the happiness which flew away,
     Heart is melting in here.
Without the touch of those childish hands
     Heart trembles some seconds
     Heart longs as where is
     My angel's Pampering language

Estranged love

Let's interchange the broken pieces of our hearts

And fill the gap with love

Let's make a world for the broken

And say that we are already taken

Let's make them count the days of our separation

And leave the aeon of love to their imagination

Let's do it all together, let's do it now

Cause we were never away from each other

Traveller

Going far till the wheels may ask me why

Going slow till my heart may say to race the pace

Going steady till my legs may freak out

Going glowing in the darkness of the unlit path

Going hectic as the wind whirls at my face

Going, going and going as long as my heart is beating, beating and beating....

Love

Love is a word that will have different kind of reception in different hearts. But, if we fully understand what is love, if we all I mean, every heart would have the same kind of reception. The difference is just because the difference in perception of the word.

If you ask about love to a 5-year old child, that is, querying him by understanding him and his environment. The environment here stands for the people and emotions around him, again only the people and emotions around him and not his physical environment. Querying stands for noting him, like following him and, understanding means the act of realizing why the child is like him. Like identifying who is he. The perception of the child and a teenager, the teenager and an adult, the adult and an old would differ drastically, which is expected and common. To be frank, the meaning and the view of the word "love" shrinks on growing up.

Everyone, love and like themselves. Except those, with some kind of mental disorders. People love themselves because they like changes. And change is something that is born with us. Even born before us.  One in a hundred million of sperm cell enters the ovum and brings a change. And we must never forget that we are one in a hundred million. The change doesn't stops there, the gestation period starts and the change kick starts as well. Change and movement aren't different sects of things, we move to change. If a newborn baby isn't crying it is a serious problem. Everything in this world deserves respect as much as it adapts itself to the change. "Adaptation and change", it is what 'Evolution' is.

Many of us would have the habit of seeing ourselves in the mirror, which is one of the best examples of love towards ourselves. Identifying ourselves in a mirror is one of the 'stand out' traits of human being, which we share with dolphins, elephants, apes and magpies, a group of "highly intelligent animals". One month of exercise which results in one inch reduced belly fat, is a joy brought from change and a change which enhances the love towards oneself. Like people saying "Self help is the best help" one can surely say that "Self love is the best love".

Grave is a cave

Light! I held in my hands
Like all others, I see with it
Everyone walked with me in paths
Each path had destination which is common
And everyone knows this, I stood
Alone! Searching for others, I saw
Lights! Oh my! The light! What
Left for me? Was Darkness! With rage,
I searched my light, with courage
I had left, all that is
Left, climbed up the mountain following
Light! Light held by a colleague
Climbing became difficult, I hung on!
Cliff, one which dealt with height
A deadly height that’ll make myself lost
Around the footpaths of this Mountain
Forever! There came the light, recovering me
From this plight, I thanked and
Followed, slipping in times, I asked
For the light, “Climbing for my
Vacation”, I pleaded, “You would have
Vacation which is certain”, with frustration
I heard his reply, the spat
Induced a gap, between the light
And I, Dull became the light
Annoying the lazy me to the full
Pushed hard, closed my eye
Pulled the barriers away, opened
My eye! when “I” died, Hurray!
Mesmerized, saw the Light! One!
Only one! Amazed, carried the light
On my way, to the farthest sight
No lights! Except one! Heard sound
No! Know the sound before, Sound!
The slipping sound! Realized myself, ran
To my place, placed the light
Leaned to my right, felt my
Lonely heart, “Grave is a Cave”
